STARTERS MAKES 4 BLOODY NOLEN’S | 5 MINUTES TOTAL

TRULY NOLEN

If you don’t like this drink, you simply aren’t a Nolen.

Ingredients
2 cups Tomato or V8 Juice
1 tbsp cholula
1 tbsp pickle juice
1 tbsp vegan worcestershire
1 tbsp dijon
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
2 cans of budlight
1 lime
tajin (optional rim)

Method
In a bowl whisk together tomato juice, cholula, pickle juice, worcestershire, dijon, cumin, pepper, and salt together. If you’re using V8 juice, just a pinch of salt and pepper will do.
If you’d like tajin on the glass rim, use a lime wedge to moisten the rim of the glass and dip them into the tajin seasoning.

Fill the glass with ice and add tomato mixture so it fills ¼ of the glass.

Top with bud light.
Stir together and enjoy life.

The Nolen’s are my favorite people ever, and I’m not just saying that because I am one of them. My parents are the kindest people on the planet and my sister is my best friend. If you’ve known my family for five minutes, you know they are obsessed with Bud Light. I said it was my Mom’s favorite food in Kindergarten. My dad calls all other options crap beer. Greer made them a map of all the places that sell Bud Light in Chicago and it is constantly referenced when they visit.

One of my favorite holidays of the year is Fourth of July. I usually get to go home for the holiday and we spend the whole week at my parent’s cabin in Munds Park. Every year, this small town puts on a parade and of course we always participate and go way over the top. Parade morning consists of us getting up too early to get in the line. Enter the Bloody Nolen. It is the breakfast of champions and an excuse to start drinking Bud Light at 7am. We have so much fun that every time I make a Bloody Nolen during the year I always think about that holiday. No matter where I am, I can always feel my families’ presence in every sip.
